A change of genre for me, I dip between thrillers to give me a change of pace. This was fab! Fantasy., bit romance, fantastical creatures, The 2 main characters fall for each other heavily but Gran warns Emilia of the dangers. Do she listen? No, what teen would! The heart wins doesn’t it? Erox & Emilia face dangers and hurdles together. All set on a rugged Orkney, around the beaches and the rough seas. Really descriptive and vivid, I could see the areas visited and the cold sea on the beaches so well from the authors writing. Extremely enjoyable not just for YA, any age can enjoy this tale.
